At Jinks Crow, serving our community is our guiding light. As part of our commitment to supporting members of the community, we are proud to offer a scholarship opportunity to one student at each of the high schools in our city. The recipient of the Safety First Scholarship will receive a one-time payment of $500 to aid them on their academic journey.

​​​Criteria: 

Applicant must be a senior enrolled in one of the following schools and must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 and have plans to attend college in Fall 2025.

If you meet the above criteria, please submit the following information along with this application form:

1. Transcript and proof of enrollment from your school.

2. Essay of no more than 500 words addressing the following:

 

Safe driving is often seen as a personal choice, but it really impacts the entire community. Your essay should address how each driver’s behavior—whether it’s avoiding distractions like texting, obeying speed limits, or not driving under the influence—affects not just themselves, but their friends, family, and others on the road. We invite you to explore the consequences of dangerous driving habits and discuss why it’s important for all drivers to recognize the role they play in keeping everyone safe on the road. Please keep responses limited to 500 words.

Completed essays should be uploaded as part of the application form below or emailed to Kijana.mitchell@jinkscrow.com as a Word document. Include your name and essay title in the header section of your essay and ensure that the subject for your email says, “Safety First Scholarship Essay - Your Name.”

Selection Process: 

Applications will be uploaded onto the firm’s website for the public to vote on. By submitting your application, you agree to participate in this selection process. Sensitive and personal information within your application can be redacted before posting, but consider substituting real names or modifying real details beforehand, as we cannot guarantee the security or privacy of your information once published.
